WHAT ARE REAL-LIFE ESCAPE GAMES?
Escape games were originally available only on computers. You might well have played yourself, trying to escape from, say, a cellar, a hospital or a pirate ship. In recent years, 'live' versions of such games have become increasingly popular in countries as diverse as Hungary, Switzerland, Malaysia, the USA and elsewhere. Just like in a computer game, players try to 'escape' from an imaginary situation by solving puzzles, gathering information, and opening the right doors – except this time rather than using a mouse they physically do everything themselves, working as a team. What makes this form of entertainment such fun is that players do just the same kind of things as in popular computer games, except that here they are actually 'in the story', so the sensations are much more intense.
